It’s a kind thing to help someone but sometimes it becomes irritating to share the Internet through wifi-hotspot.
The two main causes behind this are high battery consumption and the other is Low Internet data (Conditional).
But you can’t say no to them, maybe your NO will make your enemy in your friend’s circle.
Here, I’ll show you how to block wifi users on Android from getting access to your hotspot for the Internet.
Sounds Complicated!
Let me Explain, You just need to change your Hotspot settings and free to share your internet through wifi.
Why? Because, After changing the hotspot settings. No one will able to access your Internet Data through the Wifi-hotspot.
Step 1. Go to Settings >>More
On an Android device, Go to settings then click on More.
Step 2. Click on Tethering & Portable Hotspot
After clicking on More, Click on Tethering & portable hotspot, and maybe if you found some changes in your Android so worry, every device has its features.
Step 3. Click on Set up Wi-Fi hotspot
Click on Set up Wi-Fi hotspot to go into Wi-Fi hotspot settings.
Step 4. Select 5 GHz Band
5 GHz Band is an updated frequency mostly found in the Latest Android versions like Nougat 7.0.
Set the band setting from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz. If you choose the 5GHz band then updated Android devices can get better signal strength from your hotspot and obviously better Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi.
But Outdated Android versions like Lollipop 5.0, Marshmallow 6.1, and even Oreo 8.0 can be connected to your device through a Wi-Fi hotspot but can’t access the Internet, here 5 GHz is useful for you.
